This month's Bread of the Month is everything you love about apple pie — baked into a traditional sourdough loaf. Meet our Apple Pie Sourdough.

We start by slicing fresh apples and slowly softening them in a cast iron skillet with brown sugar, cinnamon, and browned butter, letting them caramelize into a tender, fragrant filling that smells like a autumn kitchen at its best. Those skillet apples are then folded into our sourdough base — made with our 900-year-old starter — along with a generous blend of apple pie seasoning worked right into the dough itself.
